Every OOPS item is completely functional and any defect is purely cosmetic. As an environmentally conscious company, we hate the idea that just because an item is slightly different or scuffed, it should be thrown out when it's 100% functional. And sometimes we mark items as OOPS if we just have too many, and there isn't even something "wrong" with them!

    I've never had issue with any of the products sold my The Mermaid Straw. We'll, except that the products are addictive and I want to buy most everything but that's on me not the shop ;-) Every product is top quality even the "oops"

    The Mermaid Straw Experience showing the way

    I came across Mermaid Straw through another sustainability-conscious organisation when Goldilocks Goods spoke of them.

    I’ve always wanted one of these 30oz cups but had my concerns - weight and size and general clumsiness. For those of us who have never carted round a 30oz cup, I’d say the height is about the same as a 24oz Owala or a slim 500ml tumbler. In terms of weight, it’s close to the 24oz Owala but feels a little lighter because of the cup-like handle.

    Now, getting to the Mermaid Straw experience. It has been nothing short of outstanding - from the information out there about their company, their product, their mission, their packing and the customer reviews. Everything I wanted to know was out there! The ordering and fulfillment process - is so quick, the packing so pretty and the tracking stalking is on point 😄

    I decided on an OOPs range because I couldn’t decide and I liked the idea of imperfects having a chance to be bought instead of discarded. I received a pink cow motif (Strawberry Milk), not something I would think is me. AT ALL. Unexpectedly, I love it. It’s whimsical, hard to miss and brings a smile when I need a water break.

    In terms of the Oops, after searching for a while, I finally found the imperfections. For those who want to understand the extent of Oops, mine had a small scuff mark near the top and the coffee-lid cover when screwed on, the pop open lid is a little close to the handle. These don’t bother me so no disappointment there.

    What do I love about the cup? I love that the colour of straw matched my cup exactly. I didn’t take myself for a princess but whaddaya know, I am! I love the silicone tip for the straw. I love that they thought to give me a straw cleaner. I love that they gave me 2 lids so this drinkware can be a multi-temperature drinkware and most importantly, the drinking experience is smooth.

    I love that they seem to care about my little order. The items arrived in a box that felt gift wrapped. Thank you, Rose 🌹
